Péntek Esti Poétika: Ashley Dioses - The Picture / A kép /// Haloween Hava 2024

The amazingly talented Norbert Csizi has translated The Picture, a poem in my collection The Withering, into Hungarian. He has recorded his translation and recited it in both Hungarian and English.  It is absolutely incredible and I am honored to have my poem reach out a little further into the world.

Folk Horror by Weird Fiction Quarterly

This is a fun new journal that I've been welcomed to submit to.  My poem, All Hallows' Feast, appears in this Folk Horror edition of Weird Fiction Quarterly.  An appropriate read to honor the spirits on this Hallows' Eve.

The Lycanthropicon: Imaginings & Images of the Werewolf by Minds Eye Press

Working and going to school full-time have definitely zapped all the energy I have from making more frequent posts regarding the latest publications I've appeared in.  Even now, I am supposed to be in class but as this is the holiest of holy days in House Dioses-Opperman, I've played hooky and will add a few updates.

A reprint of my poem, The Power of the Moon, appears in The Lycanthropicon: Imaginings & Images of the Werewolf by Minds Eye Press.

Spectral Realms No. 21 by Hippocampus Press

I have received my copy of Spectral Realms No. 21.  My poem, Rabbit Led, appears in this along with a review of my latest poetry collection, Darkest Days and Haunted Ways, reviewed by Leigh Blackmore.

"The latest issue of Spectral Realms contains an abundance of scintillating verse from the leading weird poets of today, including Ann K. Schwader, Frank Coffman, Scott J. Couturier, Wade German, and others. John Shirley warns that “we are becoming demonic machines”; Carl E. Reed speaks of the terrors of Samhain; DJ Tyrer channels Robert W. Chambers in “Cassilda’s Song”; and Steven Withrow commemorates the poets of Weird Tales.

The issue reveals its international scope in poems by Ngo Binh Anh Khoa (Vietnam), Lauri Taneli Lassila (Finland), Arukoya Tamois (Korea), and Norbert Góra (Poland), among others. Prose poems by Maxwell I. Gold (who has made this literary form a specialty of his own) and Manuel Arenas enliven the issue, as do reprints of classic poems by William Wilfred Campbell and Mary Elizabeth Coleridge.

The issue concludes with reviews of several new volumes of poetry by Leigh Blackmore and S. T. Joshi."
