"Eric Lindblom is Stoked to report that he is throwing a event on behalf of TriggerWarningShortFiction.com (horror/sci fi/fantasy/noir) short story site.at 2 p.m. on Sat. Jan. 23 at Mystery and Imagination Bookshop (238 N. Brand Ave. in Glendale), We're honored that our coming issue will feature two stories by famed horror writer and raconteur Dennis Etchison who will take part in a wild and woolly Q&A moderated by a surprise horror novelist and screenwriter. And actors will read two short stories (one by Dennis and the 2nd by a writer who studied under him). The bookstore is an attraction in itself, with a huge collection of pulp, detective and horror fiction. Co-editor John Skewes whose eye-popping illustrations rock the site, is flying in from Seattle."
My parents, Kyle, and I attended this event and had a blast listening to the two stories read and performed by actors. It was nice seeing Peter Atkins and Dennis Etchison again. I invited them both to come to our poetry signing next month. Peter was really excited about it and Dennis has to see how far it is. Hopefully they can both make it. I bought the latest Weird Fiction Review (6) from Dennis and had him, Peter, and of course, Kyle, sign it for me.
